Happy Birthday Rebel!

Happy Birthday! :)
*throws confetti*
*gets out cake*
*lights the candles*

I hope you have an amazing birthday, Rebel. Hopefully, this can make it a little better. :)

It starts out with an animation from squirrel and Bisk playing her violin. Then there's me describing what we wanted to do. Then Adi played "Wonderwall" for the background music. There are (in order) a video from dragon, a picture from science, a video from jewbie, a picture from sweetiepie, a voicemail from jay, a picture from oreos, a voicemail from priya, a video from adi (it's a little quiet), and then a video from sarge. then a random picture from me.
There are also two more (Hannah and Neo) who couldn't get in the video. I had some problems converting their recordings, so they wouldn't work when I made the video. :(

I also made you a picture on polyvore :)

Alyssia wrote a poem. Here is a recording of it and the words are below.

Through all the cards…
Confetti flying….
And balloons floating…
There is a birthday girl.
Mixed feelings swirl through her…
Feelings of happiness that she made this birthday…
And feelings of fear of the future…
But before she thought any further, she noticed a simple paper with a poem on the table...
“Birthday girl,” it says.
Making sure that nobody noticed, she picked it up and opened the thoughts inside…
“To express the meaning of YOU, in this world,
Is no easy task.
To show just how much you’ve impacted our lives,
Is no easy task.
You've painted our minds with thoughts about digging deep into our spirit…
To one day pull out a better version of ourselves…
You hugged us and said that it’s okay to be afraid,
And told us that we’ll eventually grab pick up our courage from the ground,
And continue walking…
But, the lesson  that we listened to the most from you.
Was to always be yourself, even with the difficulty.
Be yourself, you echo out to us.
And we will.
Thank you for being an amazing person, Maddie.
Happy Birthday and we love you.
 –All of us”
The words ringing from the paper push away all her worries for now…
The Birthday girl puts the note in her pocket,
And goes back to the party, knowing that her friends are always with her.

I also thought of you the last time I heard this song. It's "Whispers in the Dark" by Skillet. I just want you to know you'll never be alone. When darkness comes, you know we're never far.
We love you, Rebel.

I kinda accidentally deleted everything when the video was processing...oops...so I have the skillet video on youtube and you can watch it there in case it didn't work.

Truths Revealed

Now you can know the truth:

1) I went to Canada one year for a family vacation. We had no passports so we were stuck at the border for hours.

True. We had problem getting into Canada, but no problems getting back into the US...and we still had no passports.

2) I attended Space Camp a few years ago. I operated a flight simulator. I spent a full week there and I received an award for creating the most realistic model rocket.

I wish. Space Camp would be cool.

3) I went to Hooters (in Cleavland, Ohio) on my 10th birthday. My evil twin sister told them it was my birthday so I had to stand on a chair and shake my butt in front of everyone there. To this day, my family teases me whenever Ohio or Hooters is mentioned.

Unfortunately, this is 100% true. Except the part about my evil twin. My sister is not my twin, but people think we are twins. And I think she would be my evil twin if we really were twins.

4) At VBS I attached my sister's belt loops to the clips on the flagpole. I got her half way up when the pastor walked out of the church...

False. My dad did this to one of his brothers.

5) I have a younger sister and an older half sister. I did not know my older sister was my half sister until a year ago. Even now, I do not know who her real father is.

True. It's frustrating. And I don't want to bring up the topic with my parents...

6) I spent a week and a half in a 15 passenger van. 11 people (including me) were packed in the like sardines. I now miss being squeezed into that van.
True. I don't miss being cramped in the van so much

7) I know a ninja.

We called one of the people on my team a ninja. He would leave the room and no one would notice. Then he would come back, and no one saw him return. Technically, he is not a ninja, but we all think he is. So, true.

Also I watched how to train your dragon. I loved it! I loved the dragons! They looked like a kitten mixed with a lizard. They were so cute...except for the big evil one in the end. But I want one! :)

Random Note: two days till my birthday! (July 27)

Au revoir. Je m'en vais.
