"It's better to remain quiet and appear stupid, than to open your mouth and reveal all doubt."
I don't think that's the exact wording he used, but it's the same basic idea. My dad has a shirt with the way I worded it. It took the idiots awhile to figure out what she meant.
Then later the same day, Idiot #2 started singing "Fireflies" by Owl City. A few other people joined in. My teacher said "Hush, hush, sweet children." Her translation of what that means is "Shut up, you little creeps."
I like this teacher, but she is retiring. We have a new teacher. He came in to class the other day. The current teacher decided to speak more French to show off or something. This was not pleasant for us students because we never speak French in class. I am literally the only person in my class who understands French....so anytime either teacher would say something in French, some one would turn around and ask what they said. Every. Single. Time.
I decided on a goodbye. "Goodbye, I'm outta here" in French.
*epic explosion* Au revoir. Je m'en vais.

Haha that's what I had to do in Spanish class!!
ReplyDeleteBut now I'm doing French too! I'm guilty of the accent thing...I speak French (sometimes!) in an Argentine accent...but in my defense, it's more natural to me...
*is not idiot*
*hopefully*
*will stop rambling on Amar's blog now*
the idiot in my class was purposely trying to sound italian...he's an idiot everyday...both of them are....
ReplyDeleteyour accent is natural, so you're not an idiot :)
